Yunquera, Through the eyes of an Englishman documents one expatriate Englishman's view of life in a small Spanish town.
Yunquera, in the heart of the Sierra de las Nieves is one of the traditional 'white villages' of Andalucia. In this truly wonderful town, some traditions have changed little in the past 50 years and others have been entirely revolutionised by by modern life.
This photographic journey through Yunquera and its surroundings shows us the beauty of the environment and the photographer's love for the town.

Yunquera, Malaga, Spain
Kenton Smith was born in London in 1963 and grew up in rural Suffolk. He tried many different careers before settling into the computer software industry. Kenton spent nearly twenty years selling computer software, gaining a degree of notoriety as one of the people that helped develop the internet advertising industry in Europe.
Kenton says:
“my interest in photography started in my teenage years, and I have rarely been without a camera for the last three decades. Whilst working, I had little time for such a time-consuming hobby but the move to digital photography allowed me, for the first time, to take full control of the process; this has given me great impetus to explore the world of my own creativity.
Yunquera and La Sierra de Las Nieves are not the only subjects that Kenton enjoys photographing. After traveling and working in more than forty countries, Kenton has amassed a huge collection of images from around the world, a varying sample of which can be seen on his website.
