Irene Amiet is a free-lance writer, photographer and conservationist with a marketing background.
A native of Switzerland, Irene has lived in the Bermudas, in South Africa and Texas, where she dedicated ten years to capturing shore-birds and their dance-like performances. She now resides in Clitheroe, in Lancashire's Ribble Valley where she co-owns a fine-art and commercial photography business, Knowle Top Studios, with her husband, Duncan Phillips.
She has been active as a research volunteer with Leatherback Turtles in Panama and participated in big cat density research in Limpopo, South Africa where she became marketing manager for a game lodge in the Karongwe Conservancy. Irene was correspondent for Coast Magazine in Texas and ran an online blog on outdoor photography for the Galveston Daily News.
Her work has received international acclaim and been featured in Africa Geographic, Lancashire Life and found space in National Geographic's prestigious stock library.
