I have been consumed by all things photographic since the day, in 1972, that I stood over a tray of developer and watched an image appear as if by magic on a piece of white paper...one of those WOW! moments... Since then, I have primarily self-taught through extensive reading and even more extensive practice. I have progressed from black & white film through color film and transparencies, and have finally landed firmly in the digital era. My primary interest as a photographer has been landscape and nature photography, although I frequently shoot in many other areas of interest.
