Sobre o livro
If I'm going to be totally honest - I don't even like poetry (unless it's mine). Poetry is so personal, yet I present this collection of 67 poems that have been written randomly over the past 30 years. I would go months without writing. Other times, there would be periods where I would crank out 3 or 4 a month. The purpose was not to write, but instead to process.
I take what I'm feeling at the inspirational moment, dissect the ideas, emotions, and thoughts into words, finally arranging them to tell a story. The result after much polishing is a poem that resolves my current emotional state. The Poem then becomes "worthy" (according to me) if I can subsequently re-read and enjoy it.
Love, Life, Heart, Feelings are the dominant themes found throughout the various poems. I seem to come back to these concepts. It's what I like to write about. I also need to be inspired by something, be it a picture, person, feeling, or concept. No muse No Poetry, I'm probably using that as a crutch - another unresolved idea..
When are you a poet? - 1st time you write a poem? - 1st time your poem is read? - 1st time you create a book? - 1st time you sell a book? - 1st time your book shows up on Amazon? - 1st time your book sells on Amazon? - 1st time you someone quotes your poem or a passage from your book? Maybe you just know in your heart
