Sobre o livro
In Issue 11, you’ll witness many of our writers and artists encounter divine love. They’ll accept it, fear it, reject it, flirt with it, and look at it with a skeptical side-eye. Through their different styles and stories, I hope you’ll see that God’s love carries weight. I hope you’ll see that when He loves you, He is restoring you—no matter how painfully—to Himself. He is working in you for your ultimate good and His purposes. Accepting His love does not mean a perfect life, but it does mean that you are held—dragged, humbled, and molded like clay. And with that painful shaping comes joy, rest … and peace. With the rejection of His love comes nothing but emptiness. God loves you. I pray that Issue 11 walks you through that experience with the proper intensity of such a statement.

Heart of Flesh Literary Journal
Mobile, AL, USA

Heart of Flesh is a semiannual literary journal that contains quality writing and art with Christian themes. We are not a typical “Christian fiction” journal. We believe God’s truth as written in the Bible can be found in both the sacred and the secular, in nearly every work of literature and every part of the human condition. We include work from both Christians and non-Christians from all over the world. Pure in Heart Stories is the "kid sister" of Heart of Flesh. It is a biannual literary magazine for families, featuring poetry, stories, art, and more by kids, teens, and adults. A portion of all proceeds from both journals will be donated to Mission of Hope (https://www.missionofhopeministries.net/about/), a "residential Christian program focusing on men and women struggling with drug and alcohol dependency."
