As the most densely populated village in the state of Wisconsin, Shorewood sits just north of Milwaukee as a bustling neighborhood of businesses, community hubs, and gathering places. Beneath the busy village lies over a century of well-preserved infrastructure, captured in photographs and carried through time.

This series highlights the preservation of historic sites, as well as the photographs themselves. Supplementing each archival image is a glimpse into what the location looks like over a century later, demonstrating the continuity of this community while also asking us to notice what has changed.
