The world ends hungry. A man waits at a cellar door while winter closes in. A city turns its dying into statues. Angels rise from firebombed streets. Vampires meet the daylight they thought belonged to lesser things. Deep beneath Montréal, the walls grow soft with wax and something old wears a human face. There are ruined skies, locked doors, faithful dogs, false saviours, bad jokes, and the awful calculations people make when survival starts answering for morality.
