This book is the first of a two-part record of a six-week trip to Oaxaca and Chiapas in 2005. It is a follow-up of a similar journey to neighboring Guatemala the year before. The book does not attempt to explore all of Oaxaca, but rather reflects the author's (the “gringo”) experience and what he was able to “capture” of it.
