Sobre o livro
This is a Black and White photographic book based upon the ghost town in Kayakoy, Turkey. Kayakoy was originally inhabited by Greek Orthodox families in the early 1920's until a forced population exchange between Greece and Turkey in 1923 after the Greco-Turkish war. The village remains a ghost town of significant beauty. The village is located between the bustling city of Fethiye and tourist coastal resort of Old Deniz.
The book captures the history, beauty, local inhabitants and structures within the village. All the images are hight contrast and grainy composition adding to the atmosphere created by the stunning historical ruins.
Lots of the images have been captured by drone giving a new perspective on the village not seen before.
