Malcolm Harris, Captain, U.S. Naval Intelligence Service, retired, is a Texas trial lawyer born and raised in Austin and Wimberley, Texas. He holds B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Texas - Austin. He skippered the world-class sailing vessel, Lai Sien, in the Sea of Cortez for some 26 years. His book, Sailing the Sea of Cortez, Voyages of Discovery and his memoir, American Century, Roots in Texas are published and available digitally from Apple iBooks. He and his friend, Larry Sager, built wooden double-paddle Fox Canoes under the guidance of their brilliant designer, Bill Thomas. Malcolm's most recent book, Fox Canoe Adventures, Sager/Harris Outings, presents magnificent full-page photos and text from their outings on the beautiful streams, rivers and lakes of the Texas Hill Country.
