Leo JR Boon was born on the 1st of January 1966 at Zuidlaren, the Netherlands.

He became interested in photography in the early 1980's,progressing to bird photography, resulting in many of his photographs being published in international magazines and books about birds.

During the mid 1990's he diversified from bird to people photography.

Now a freelance photographer, Leo has created his own unique style. Some of his work is represented in his first book; Imaginary Images.

He lives in IJmuiden, the Netherlands, and in what little spare time he has, when not taking care of his children or taking photographs, he still enjoys watching birds.
