Gabor Gasztonyi is an award-winning Canadian/Hungarian photographer, author, and filmmaker based in New Westminster, British Columbia and Budapest. Renowned for his evocative black-and-white portraiture and documentary photography, Gasztonyi's work often delves into themes of social justice, cultural identity, and marginalised communities. He has published A Room in the City (Anvil Press, 2010) and Budapest at Night (Fekete Sas Kiado, 2025). He also directed and produced the documentary film No Way Out, which premiered at the Harlem International Film Festival in New York City in 2018. He was the past Polio Chair for Rotary District 5040. With his wife Judith Copland, he operates a photographic studio and gallery.
