Sobre
Kim Cardoso is a visual artist interested in longing and communication. Using luminous wax and pigment fused with fire, she captures feelings of connectedness as a way to unburden modern life. Her process oriented work revels in the physicality of her material, relating to her formal training as a metalsmith and decades of work as a midwife. Her paintings have been exhibited across the US and are collected internationally. She lives on an urban farm in Oakland, California, paints at the Norton Factory Studios, and continues to work part time in community health.
