Going to Honolulu for a couple of days one hopes for the best; inspiration, insight, intelligence. A chance to experience something interesting.

On this trip, I found some performance art, live music, club dancing, moments of China, and even an American Indian Pow Wow. Hawaii is indeed a melting pot of cultures.

From being with the Chinatown art crowd for a First Friday gallery walk, then the Chinatown club scene at Next Door later that evening, to hanging out with television personalities Martin Yan of "Yan Can Cook" fame at a Splendor of China convention along with officials including Hawaii's Lieutenant Governor Duke Aiona, and later seeing Duane Chapman of "Dog the Bounty Hunter" at an Indian Pow Wow in the park across the street.
