When I visited the Brodosplit shipyard for the first time in the winter of 2005 for the Croatian shipping company Tankerska Plovidba, I felt like I was in a spectacular setting. I was standing in front of a gigantic art installation. A combination of a giant's playground, a Greek amphitheatre and the film Madmax. The material, the technique and the people in the harsh light of the winter sun and the icy wind of the bura thrilled me. Who thinks up something like that? I thought of Zeus and Hephaestus lying drunk in the corner, and celebrating.
