Sobre o livro
The day shall come
when
we will meet
in the clouds in
the sky above
And we will rest
together
in the dirt of
the world below
And it will be
Beautiful
But for now
We Move
Along
The Sky Above and The World Below brings together Justin A. Carney's observations of the cyclical nature of the world we construct beneath the sky. Despite our reaching for the skies above with the things we create, we often fail to take the time to look up and appreciate the sky that encapsulates our world. The objects and spaces visualized in this book mostly look desolate and abandoned but images of the sky seemingly breathe life back into them, ready to revive them anew.

Sobre o autor
Justin A. Carney is an artist who uses autobiographical photography to question how death and grief affect familial connections—the bonds that keep a family together and cause them to separate, and how grief shapes an individual. Much of Carney’s artistic practice deals with confronting and exposing grief surrounding death to create an avenue for not only himself but also for others to find healing and cope with the deaths in their lives.
