Sobre o livro
A graduate from the Rhode Island School of Design (BFA, '76) Whalley has since had a long career as a fine artist, noted for his stunning realism, where his masterful depictions of time-worn “orphaned objects”are visual meditations in which he explores texture, patinas and the qualities of light. He draws much of his inspiration from the curated collections of objects that he and his wife have gathered on forays to many of Maine’s ubiquitous antique shops, flea markets and yard sales. Whalley also finds for his subjects objects of nature such as seashells, pine cones and fruit, as well as the Maine landscape.
