Sobre o livro
At a time when technology siphons away attention while permeating our lives, the images in Common Light show individuals having perceptive, sensory experiences: feeling the sun’s warmth on one’s body, foraging in the woods, swimming in an ocean bay, looking at light’s silent, revelatory presence. Instead of iconic or monumental nature, settings that range from intimate to vast are featured, as well as people, each one of whom is drawn into a deep correspondence with the natural world. Emily Dickinson compared light to a sacrament; these photographs convey its essence.
