Sobre o livro
This book is a diary of a trek undertaken in the Indian Himalayas in October 2009.
Over 40 Photographs from the three week trek in the Uttarakhand area of the Indian Himalayas are provided together with a day-by-day account of our adventures.
Our trekking route took us over the foothills to Ghuttu, then up and down to Gauri Kund. Then up the pilgrimage trail to Kedernath, before going over the Masar Tal pass at 5000m, and then descending to Chauki and then down and down, via Rees, back to Ghuttu.
On the trek itself we were a party of six. We had a guide, a cook and a liaison to help us and a large group of porters to carry all the stuff. At the beginning, whilst we were at lower altitudes, we also had three muleteers and a group of six mules.
We camped most nights when on the trail but we took advantage of Guest Houses when in Ghuttu, Gauri Kund, Kedernath and Rees.
