Back in 2009 when I got my first iPhone, one of the things I was most looking forward to using was the camera. In the beginning I shot different things and sat little restrictions for myself, but I quickly started to set rules for myself to elevate the quality. I started to avoid posed photos, which meant no portraits or food photos. It forced me to look at things in a new way and I spend many lunch breaks going through neighborhoods to find interesting things to photograph.

The year long project was often challenging, but I always enjoyed it.
