Sobre o livro
We wanted you to know what we know about ghosts. So we gloved them in pillboxes, rolled them in our sleeves, and numbered their frames for each day. We palmed highlands like clay to shape fickle and absolute panoramas. Thorny and seamless currents that loosened our tongues and unzipped our dresses.
It was cold, then messy, and then it was so stunning our muscles plumped and sped. Some girls had babies, others did not stay long enough for us to get a good look, instead climbing to the tops of watchtowers forever. Some people had a few drinks, rode a few bikes, ran a few miles, wore sunglasses up on their beautiful heads, hopped scotches, did not give a stitch, ran from admirers and appetites and hymns and dreams, and then it was cold again.
Sometimes our choices are haunting us. Solely over or under balanced. Sometimes we are not pretty or filling. Sometimes, when the hour is cracking day or dusk, we are at peace with how we plummeted, or continue to scale. Looking at it from the bottom up. We are marrying the truth about us: that our flaws tell a story that skims in all directions. We are in, and then we are out. It is ephemeral, but it spans and unfolds and creates bridges to the edges of everything.
We are Amber Courteau and Tucker Gerrick. Giving you a piece of our discord, our maybes and could haves, our warbles, like a gold ribboned gift. To drink up like an orange soda. I Do Believe.
