Jonathan Broadbent became fascinated by the quantity of vandalised bicycles locked up on London's streets, and their varying states of decay. He began documenting them within a few days of arriving to live in the city in 2003, never expecting to record hundreds of photos of 'sad bikes' as he began to call them.
