Graduated from San Jose State University. Ex-surfer and fisherman looked for a teaching job somewhere in the mountains around lots of water and trees. Found St. Maries High School and took a science job for 34 years. Retired in 2009 and currently runs St. Joe Mitch Log Furniture. Along with his wife Shelley, they make accents for the cabin or home, including lighting products of wood, stone or antler, wood burnings, log furniture including beds, tables, nightstands, etc. They do shows throughout the Northwest and you can find their pieces at Denise Oliver Studios, Angel Gallery, Entree Gallery, Happy's, Forever Green and Big River Gifts. They enjoy the outdoors and when not working can be found fly fishing the St. Joe River or looking for antler sheds in the mountains surrounding North Idaho.
