Sobre o livro
Toothless George began designing b/w fliers for his own bands back in 1988. Back then, all he used was a glue stick, scissors, and a self-serve photocopy machine.
At the time, he was also cutting out stencils from old cardboard boxes, and accepting donations from fans that wanted him to sprat paint the stencil on whatever shirt they were wearing at the time.
His stencil making experience lead to interest in the art of silk screen printing. Once mastering that technique, he used it to print both shirts and posters for his bands.
While working for one screen printing shop, he learned how to use graphic design computer programs, and creating fliers and posters became a lot less messy.
When using a computer to create art, it is far too easy to accidentally make art look too sleek, so he does his best to keep with the look and feel of his early rock art.
The collection of posters represented in this book were created between 1990 - 2011.
