Lady Of The Wild Mane is a book of digital compositions made from my drawings, paintings and photographs. The photographs are recent the drawings and paintings have been part of my life since I was 12. The aim of the work is to integrate myself. A work of recapitulation, by tracing my drawings the physical movement takes me into muscle memory. By focusing on work I did when I was a teen or new mother, unconscious affects work within me now as I re connect my now with my past. It has been an interesting process and a very valuable one, I understand myself much better now. In a way I have used that fine art method of unpicking to unpick myself and my own reality. Fun.
