Born in 1981 in Finland, Elina Aho graduated with Master´s Degree in Psychology in 2006 at University of Helsinki, Finland. Elina Aho is currently working on postgraduate degree (Master of Letters) in Fine Art Practice at the Glasgow School of Art, graduating in September 2012. Since 2006 Elina Aho studied painting, art theory, and inter-disciplinary art practices at the Critical Academy, the School of Art and Design, and the Theatre Academy in Helsinki, Finland, and short courses in France and UK. She has one-year specialization in Dance-Movement Therapy at the Eino Roiha Institute, Jyväskylä. In summer 2011 she attended Summer Residency in Painting at School of Visual Arts in New York City. Elina Aho has exhibited in Helsinki, Porto, New York City, Glasgow and Edinburgh, with 8 solo shows and 20 group shows. She has also performed at Zodiak, Centre for New Dance (Together, Choreography: Eeva Muilu) in Helsinki in 2010.
