After working on "Straight Out of Brooklyn" in 1990, he went on to make his first feature film, "Gotta Be A Better Way (1991-1994)." The film was a finalist for the Gordon Park Film Awards for the Best Director. The film was shown at Clark Atlanta University and at the Mayfair Theatre, in Ottawa, Canada. He also worked as a special event photographer for IFP, The Independent Filmmaker Project, photographing Spike Lee, Ed Burns, and Martin Scorsese just to name a few. His other works are, "The Poets (2000-2001)," "What's Going On (2001)," "Reparation Now (2002)," "Unsung Heroes (2007)," "To Dance In Paradise (2008)," and photo books, "Eye on the Scene (2006)," "Japan (2012)." His next film promise to be his best yet, "The Girl From Harajuku" filmed in Tokyo, Japan and Oahu, HI, and shot with the new Blackmagic Cinema Camera in 2.5k.
