I didn't know it then but it was a turning point in my photography. On a small ferry boat between the island of Berneray and Leverburgh in South Harris, I photographed a woman with her three children (Hebridean Family). A moment in time. Then the moment was gone. This was the voyage that sealed my love affair with the Hebridean people. And this was the photograph which would become one of my most important images".
