The Note to Self Project is a portrait and social history project that started in the winter of 2015. We began with photographing members of our photography group and the energy grew. Participants (affectionately named Note-to-Selfers) sat for a portrait with one of 8 photographers, submitted a childhood photo and put pen to paper to write a note to their childhood selves imparting words of wisdom or hindsight. The project brought together 101 thoughtful Note-to-Selfers who will have you asking, “What would I say to my childhood self?”
