Sobre o livro
This book is chaos, like India. It is a collection, a mess, of imperfect images and imperfect words I hope to portray the profound beauty I witnessed and the profound impact India had on me. I embarked on this adventure in India to cycle two hundred and forty kilometres through Kerala from Kochin to Trivandrum with a group of fifteen others with one common aim: to raise funds for a slum school in Delhi called the Brighter Futures Study Centre. I could write endless words about the people who inspired this journey however I hope they know the huge impact their infectious energies had on my life. It was on this cycle that I fell in love with India, and the weeks after as I travelled through her, got to know her, was touched by her, deeply moved and changed by her, I found myself falling deeper. This is a fragmented story about what can happen if you let go of fear and allow experience to lead you by the hand. This is a fragmented story of immense personal growth. It is a fragmented story of connection. It is a fragmented story of love and immense loss. Before I embarked on this journey I was a little lost, terrified and unsure about the concept of death. My father passed away while I was in India and it was through experiencing a new level of connection to myself, the people and the world around me and the energies greater than all of those authentically for the first time that I was able to handle that loss. The proceeds from this book are going to that same school that brought me to India in the first place. This 100 page magazine style book is filled with my words, my art and my photography. I hope you enjoy it.
