My wife Sherry and I return to Sanibel Island year after year to enjoy the laid back island atmosphere. Some of these pictures were taken in Ding Darling nature preserve, but most were taken while walking on the beach. I was happy to get shots of an Osprey sitting on a power pole at the beginnig of our first visit, and some of these shots are memorable milestones in my photgraphy as I captured more difficult types of photos, but mostly its the luck of being in the right place at the right time with the right light. I’ve spent hundreds of hours walking on the beach and have compiled some of my favorite pictures in this book. Sanibel Island is a place where you need to have luck and you need to have patience, so put yourself out there in the right place enough and the opportunities present themselves for great images. Some days you come back with nothing, but others are magical. At a minimum, I have spent another day walking on the beach.
