Sobre o livro
Concrete is one of the most popular and porous construction materials in the world. When concrete is placed in environments that see excessive amount of moisture in the form of rainfall and high relative humidity, moss, algae, and other forms of bacteria can grow. Some of the forms of this growth can be aesthetically unappealing, and potentially create slipping hazards for pedestrians; while other forms of growth can be harmful to the concrete structure and ultimately reduce the service-life of the concrete. The purpose of this photo essay is to recognize the many different forms of moss and algae growth on concrete.
