Sobre o livro
This is my second Blurb book on the subject (the first being Street Photography Havana b&w, 2014), and on this occasion I have chosen color photography as the main expression language. I photographed at different times during the day, starting at dawn through sunrise, then during most of the morning, extending some times into the so-called “bad light” hours of noon and early afternoon (which are great for strong contrasts), and finishing close to sunset. Most of the work shown in the book was done in Old Havana and Centro Habana, among the most colorful municipalities in the city because of people, daily activity, and/or architecture. The effects of time and decay on buildings is a plus when considering the contexts.
